FM Athletics

Fargo Athletics, Inc., was formed in 1972 to help promote youth football in the Fargo-Moorhead area.  We are proud to be celebrating our 42nd seaon this year with over 1500 players registered and 63 teams last season.  The organization is a non-profit corporation and all board members are volunteers.

Please note the early discounted rate for the 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade programs expired May 15th.  Registrations are still being accepted until July 1st.  Registrations postmarked after July 1st will be accepted on a space availability basis only and MUST include the fundraising buyout option.   Forms/fees must be mailed to our PO Box 127, Fargo, ND 58107 as we do not have physical office to drop the forms off and currently do not offer online registration.   Forms received must include the correct fee or will not be processed until full fee is received.  Thank you!

The FMA board, for the safety of your child, is implementing Baseline
Concussion testing for all FM players, ages 12 years and older for the 2013
season (must be age 12 before 8/31/2013).  This testing will be done at
no cost to the player or parent, and will be conducted by Sanford Sports
Medicine trained personnel.   The testing will take place the week of July
29th, and takes approximately 45 minutes from start to finish.   Baseline
testing will be provided once every two years.  If your child has already
had such a test completed less than two years ago, through Sanford
for another youth sports program, the test would not have to be
retaken.   We know how important your child’s health and safety is for you,
and FMA is taking these steps to provide the testing and training regarding
concussions. Further information and testing times/location will be provided to your child's coach.

Thanks to all who contributed to the Great Plains Food Drive at our 2012 Dome Days! With your generous contributions we were able to gather 950 pounds of food to donate to the Great Plains Food Bank!   This is over 3 times more than we collected in 2011.   Thanks to all the 2012 FM Athletics teams and their fans! 

Please visit the following link for important educational information regarding concussions from the CDC website.   FM Athletics now requires all coaches to complete this training and provide a certificate of completion. 

Parents/Coaches - if your player has had their helmet taken because of a suspected concussion as determined by the Sports Medicine personnel at the game, per our rules a medical release is required before the player is allowed to get their helmet back to participate in practices and games.  Please contact our Equipment Manager, Joel Ferrie, at 701-306-2726 to make arrangements to present the release and get the helmet returned.  Thank you.
