2011 Coaches Contract & Background Investigation Forms

Any coach working with players either at practice or games must complete and turn-in a signed 2011 Coaches Contract and Background Investigation form to FM Athletics prior to helping coach.  It is the Head Coach of each team responsibility to make sure all adults helping coach have completed these forms.

FM Athletics Coaches Contract and Agreement 2011 Football Season

All coaches and assistants are required to read this contract and sign the contract document prior to coaching. In doing so, you acknowledge your understanding and willingness to comply with FM Athletics policies.

FM Athletics Board of Directors reminds all board members, head coaches, assistant coaches, parents and players that FM Athletics was formed to promote youth football in the Fargo-Moorhead area. FM Athletics adheres to the following guidelines, including:

  • FM Athletics is intended to be an instructional league. FM Athletics places an emphasis on teaching the fundamentals of football.
  • FM Athletics promotes a philosophy of equal playing time for all players. It is the intention of FM Athletics to provide opportunities for players of all skill levels to participate on an equal basis.
  • FM Athletics promotes sportsmanship, team play, leadership and personal development.

Coaches:

  • FM Athletics asks you to remember that you are teaching young athletes. These players have different readiness levels for playing football and it is important to teach them at a level that they understand. We ask you to act as a positive role model, demonstrating behavior that players can respect and aspire to follow.
  • Coaches should expect that if they behave outside of the rules of FM Athletics that they will be notified of the indiscretion by the board of directors. Board members will notify a coach at the quarter or half of a game, or during the practice week with the expectation that the wrongdoing will be immediately corrected. Failure to comply could result in suspension. FM Athletics reserves the right to terminate any individual who fails to comply with FM Athletics guidelines or acts in a manner conflicting with the standards of the organization.
  • FM Athletics will play and abide by the North Dakota High School Activities Association rules, subject to exceptions by FM Athletics.
  • We will conduct a background check of all coaches who intend to volunteer for FM Athletics football. We reserve the right to exclude volunteers from coaching within FM Athletics football based on the findings of the background check. You will only be notified if you need to be asked to remove yourself from the program.
  • Coaching staffs are encouraged to review this policy together and keep it for reference throughout the season.
